16TH MEETING OF SECRETARIES COMMITTEE HELD
GILGIT: Secretaries committee held the 16th meeting here on Tuesday and made several decisions on crucial social welfare matters.
The meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Gilgit Baltistan Babar Hayat Tarar, during the meeting decided to provide assistance to heirs of the deceased government servants under the government assistance package on a priority basis. Departmental promotion board would meet on monthly basis to resolve promotion-related issues of government officers in Gilgit Baltistan at the earliest.
The services of experts to hire for framing services rules on the professional basis besides improving the environment for welfare initiatives in the area.
It was decided to provide technical education to the students of religious schools along with the religious course in order to prepare them for contemporary and future challenges.
Moreover, the meeting decided to build Darul Amaan for homeless women in Gilgit Baltistan and in this regard one of existing buildings of home department would be converted into Darul Amaan.
Government hostel would be built for working women besides rehabilitation and restoration of water filter plants which had been dysfunctional for many years.
The meeting also decided to complete GB civil secretariat at the earliest, adding the secretaries committee meeting would meet each months to resolve people’s problems in shortest possible time.
