    Commander FCNA Major General Ehsan Mehmood Khan visited Shishper Glacier, Hasanabad

    Commander FCNA Major General Ehsan Mehmood Khan visited Shishper Glacier, Hasanabad, along with Army Engineers Officer, DG GB DMA and Commissioner Gilgit Division.

    Commander FCNA gave directions for continuous monitoring of the situation and instructed to take all necessary steps to avoid any damages.

    Expansion of the glacier has blocked flow of water. The glacial lake endangers lives and properties of the people in Hassanabad village and also poses threat to KKH, FWO camp, hydel power stations, water channels irrigating major part of Central Hunza.
