    Tourism And Living Standard Increase In GB Through CPEC

    Gilgit Baltistan (GB) legislative Assembly speaker Fida Muhammad Nashad said that China Pakistan Economic Corrdior (CPEC) would increase tourism. GB is called the mountaineers paradise and is is where the 14‘eight-thousanders’ which includes K2 and Nanga Parbat.

    The minister of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Chaudary Barjees Tahir has said that CPEC would bring prosperity and peace to the region especially GB. The project would be a milestone in the history and increase in tourism of GB will be beneficial for the local population.

    It was also said that troops of Pak army would be deployed to protect the travelers on Karakoram Highway. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) says that GB makes about 100,000 metric tons of fresh apricots yearly.

    The area would get more peace, prosperity and business through CPEC. The Parliamentary Sectary of Law and Justice has said that the Diamer-Bhasha Dam in GB would make 4500 MW of electricity due to which load shedding would reduce.
